First Presbyterian Church is a warm, loyal and welcoming association of varied age groups, occupations and interests which follows its collective call to serve and worship God. One of the oldest active churches in the area, it continues a rich heritage of Christian fellowship, service and praise.
In addition to weekly worship of God, a full Christian education effort takes place. Opportunities to study and listen for God’s Word in Holy Scripture abound. We offer a strong support of our families with children and Presbyterian Women form an active and vital role in the life of our congregation.
We practice a strong commitment to our community and county through a variety of volunteer efforts. We cooperate with other denominations in every way we can. Our desire is to be a community of God’s people wherein anyone can love and be loved for who they are. We try to be the children of God as God calls us.
